Cornerstone Parent Fellowship

Is your life crazy? Are you constantly being pulled in different directions? Then Cornerstone is where you need to be. This group will give you a place where you can be revitalized and strengthened for a common purpose of passing on the legacy of Christ. Our church offers plenty of opportunities to learn and expand our biblical knowledge. This is a time to nurture our spirit. If you have small children or teenagers, we are all on the same roller coaster. Want to know more about Lakeside?  Lakeside 101 is the perfect place to ask all the questions you might have about Lakeside, about the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, and about the Christian faith.  Want to consider being a member of Lakeside?  LAKESIDE 101 is for you.  This six-week course meets during the Sunday school hour (beginning at 9:45) on Sunday mornings, and will cover areas such as The Vision, The Distinctives, The Government, The Sacraments, and The Gospel.   A new class begins every six weeks, but you can jump in to join us on any given Sunday.

Lakeside Presbyterian Church (E.P.C.) is a congregation of about 450 located near the Ross Barnett Reservoir, Brandon, Rankin County, Mississippi. We are seeking a Director of Traditional Worship Ministries. The weekly commitment is negotiable and may be filled part time. This ministry requires an enthusiastic individual who has a formal education in music, preferably church/sacred music. The Director of this ministry must have a sincere appreciation for the critical importance of music and worship in the life of the believer and the church. The candidate must be able to plan and implement music rehearsals and worship activities for a chancel choir and work well with the Director of Contemporary Worship Ministries. The ministry also includes planning and rehearsals for special worship music on occasions such as Christmas and Easter. As the position entails overseeing and directing volunteers, the Director must be able to interact with and lead others in this ministry. The successful candidate for this position must have superior organizational and administrative skills needed to oversee preparation as part of worship. The Director will be responsible for all aspects of the traditional musical worship, under the direction of the senior pastor. Finally, this ministry demands someone who has displayed a proven and consistent Christian faith that is lived out in a faithful life of prayer and spirit-filled walk with Christ.
