The youth ministry at Lakeside desires to challenge students to grow in the three major focus areas of Lakeside: Worship, Connect and Serve. Our goal is to partner with parents to raise up their children in the fear of the Lord. We are striving to fulfill the Great Commission, to show our students that they are part of the larger Church, and that the Christian walk is bigger than attending church on Sundays. Followers of Christ worship, connect and serve with their fellow believers and strive to live a life pleasing to God.
Sunday night is the time that we strive to give our students a full-scope experience of the Christian walk. Once each month from 6:00-8:00 p.m. our students will have: a game night, service project, an apologetic study and a night when our high school students lead our middle school students in Bible study. So, on Sunday evenings we fellowship, serve, learn and lead. This is for our 7th through 12th grade students.
On Sunday mornings there is also Sunday school offered from 10:00-10:45 a.m. in two different age groups: middle school and high school.
Sundays focus on all three areas of Lakeside's mission: Worship, Connect and Serve.
Wednesday night youth is our large group student experience. It is an all- encompassing evening for our youth. We have separate large group lessons for our high school and middle school students, as well as small groups after the lesson. There is fellowship time, games, music led by the youth praise band, and the Word. Wednesday night youth is from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for middle school students
(7th & 8th) and 6:30-8:00 p.m. for high school students (9th through 12th). Our desire for this evening is to proclaim the gospel and to give our students something concrete and applicable that they can use in their day-to-day lives. This evening fulfills our desires to worship and connect.
