What We Believe
Lakeside is a member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. As such, we are part of the reformed faith tradition. To say we are Presbyterian means simply that our church is governed by elders. To say we are evangelical means we are driven by the gospel and the Great Commission to share our faith. When we talk about our values we say, "We are a Gospel-Driven, Mission-Centered, Family of Believers."
If you want to know if you will fit in theologically at Lakeside, read about Our Essentials below.
To learn what our leadership believes, read the Westminster Confession of Faith below.
All are welcome, no matter your convictions or beliefs, to come and hear the gospel at Lakeside.
The information found below is provided so that you can gauge our convictions.
The Five Solas
The Scripture Alone tells how we are saved by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in Christ Jesus Alone for the Glory of God Alone. These five truths make up the Five Solas
of the Reformation.
"In the Essentials, Unity. In Non-Essentials, Liberty. In All Things, Charity."
This is the motto of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
The Westminster Standards
All Elders at Lakeside have studied and found themselves in agreement with the
Westminster Confession of Faith.
