What We Believe
To say we are Presbyterian means simply that our church is governed by elders. We have elders who lead and rule the church and our pastors make up 2 of our 14 elders.
To say we are evangelical means we are driven by the gospel and the Great Commission to share our faith.
Lakeside strives to be a, “Gospel-Driven, Mission-Centered, Family of Believers."
You can read about about Our Essentials of faith below. All members of Lakeside believe these things.
Another resource for understanding our convictions would be the Westminster Confession of Faith all elders at lakeside believe these things.
All are welcome, no matter your convictions or beliefs, to come and hear the gospel at Lakeside.
The information found below is provided so that you can gauge our convictions.
The Five Solas
The Scripture Alone tells how we are saved by Grace Alone through Faith Alone in Christ Jesus Alone for the Glory of God Alone. These five truths make up the Five Solas
of the Reformation.
"In the Essentials, Unity. In Non-Essentials, Liberty. In All Things, Charity."
This is the motto of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
The Westminster Standards
All Elders at Lakeside have studied and found themselves in agreement with the
Westminster Confession of Faith.
