5th & 6th Grade Ministry
The "tweens" group at Lakeside is called AREA 56. These students spend time "Discovering the Mysteries of God." One of the goals of this ministry is to equip our 6th grade students to be leaders before they move to youth group. This group also gives 5th grade students a chance to spend time in more age appropriate activities and subject matter. AREA 56 is a transitional ministry that focuses on age-specific ministry to our 5th and 6th grade students.
Every Sunday morning we have Sunday School in the AREA 56 room from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Every Sunday evening AREA 56 meets from 5:00-
7:00 p.m. We begin with an activity in the gym from 5:00-5:30 p.m. Bible study is then in AREA 56, above the sanctuary foyer, from 5:35-6:00 p.m. At 6:00pm we have dinner until 6:30 p.m., and from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. is free time!
Drop off is at the gym at 5:00 p.m. Pick up is in front of the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m.
This is a great time for your "tween" to come have a blast, learn more about our God and Savior Jesus Christ, and grow and mature in their spiritual walk Him.
On Wednesday nights, AREA 56 is from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The AREA 56 students get to join the youth group for worship from 6:30-7:00 p.m., then go to the AREA 56 room for a lesson from 7:00-7:30 p.m.
Drop off, if they don’t come for dinner at 5:30 p.m., is at the Loft (the front chapel) at 6:30 p.m.
Pick up is in front of the sanctuary at 7:30 p.m.
