The apostle Paul speaks of his ministry as one of proclaiming the Gospel with the goal of presenting “every man complete in Christ.” Consistent with this grand mission, Lakeside seeks to see believers Connect! Serve! Worship! We are to connect with other like-minded believers in a meaningful way; serve one another and the world to which Jesus has called us; and worship the true God. Lakeside offers a variety of opportunities to see this accomplished.
Sunday Bible Classes
Between our two Sunday morning worship services (8:30 a.m. “traditional;” 11:00 a.m. “contemporary”), Lakeside has a number of adult classes that examine the Scriptures as God’s Word to us for life and faith. Led by talented teachers, these classes begin at 10:00 a.m. and are preceded by twenty minutes of fellowship (a spiritual way of saying, “coffee and donuts”!). Our classes rotate their subject matter quarterly.
wednesday family nights
Wednesday evenings are fellowship and family-oriented at Lakeside.
Family Night Supper, from 5:30-6:15 p.m., is great fun, followed by various gatherings: an adult Bible study in the Fellowship Center and a Young Adults (“RETRO”) Bible study in the Upstairs Sanctuary. The Youth and Children’s Ministries also meet at this time. Wednesday night classes for children and adults run from 6:15-7:15 p.m. Choir and band also meet afterward.
